Giles CRP organizes trip to Legacy Museum in Montgomery, Alabama

In October of 2023, the Giles County Community Remembrance Project organized a group trip to Montgomery, Alabama to visit the Equal Justice Initiative's Legacy Museum, a world-class museum that displays the history of slavery and racism in America.

A group of 35 Giles Countians gathered for the day-long trip, caravanning in a rented van as well as First United Methodist Church's van. The visit was emotional, educational, impactful, and memorable for all.

We hope to organize another trip to these Legacy sites to provide more people with this opportunity.
