Giles County Community Remembrance Project: Remembering Victims of Lynching

The epidemic of racial terror lynching that swept the United States from the mid-1800s to mid-1900s is a dark chapter of American history which has long been overlooked and swept under the rug. However, in recent years, there has been a push for communities to confront this painful past and honor the victims of racial terror lynching. The Giles County Community Remembrance Project in Pulaski Tennessee is one such initiative that is bringing awareness and recognition to these victims, and encouraging our community to reflect on what this history means for our identity today.

The Giles County Community Remembrance Project is a coalition of individuals who are dedicated to shedding light on the victims of lynching in our county. Through a variety of initiatives, the project will educate the community on the history of racial terror lynching and the impact it has had on generations of people.
